Painter's Tape Card Technique: Make it Quick Series

Hello Inkredible Friends!

Painters tape technique WM 4.30.18.jpg

Did you know you could use painter's tape to make a quick card? Today I want to show you how to use this technique using 1 inch painter's tape, ink, and a couple of stamps! Today's card featured the Stampin' Up Flower shop stamp set which is retiring May 31, 2018 so be sure and grab that stamp set from my online store while supplies last.

On the inside panel of my card I stamped a different flower in the lower left hand corner and used Wisteria Wonder ink. I stamped this same image on the envelope so that all pieces of my card would coordinate nicely.

Painter's Tape Card Technique Tutorial

1- Cut all of your cardstock; Elegant Eggplant card base 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4; Cut Wisteria Wonder 5 1/4 X 4; Cut Whisper White 5 X 3 3/4

2- Tear 3 strips of the one inch Painter's tape about  4 1/2" long. Place each strip along the ink pad and rub with your finger to transfer the ink from the pad to the tape. Then, place the strip, ink side down, onto the whisper white panel wherever you'd like that color to show and lightly rub to transfer the ink to the whisper white panel. Repeat for the other two strips. *Be careful when you take your painters tape off that you peel it back slowly so that it doesn't tear the paper.

3-Using a flower from the Stampin' Up flower shop, ink it in basic black and randomly stamp over the inked strips wherever you'd like.

4- Using a sentiment from the Stampin' Up Colorful Seasons set, ink it in basic black and stamp wherever you would like it on the whisper white panel.

5- For a finishing touch add an embellishment. For this card I chose to use the rhinestone jewels and the 'bling' really adds a nice sparkle!

Now, I would love for YOU to try this technique. Play with different color combinations, change up the stamp set and let me know how it turned out!
