Make this Cheerful Card Using Pocketful of Sunshine

Hello Inkredible Friends!

Stampin Up 2018 Catalog Release with Pocketful

Today we kick off a virtual party to celebrate the new 2018 Stampin' Up! Catalog release. To celebrate I'm going to show you how to make this cheerful card using Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set. I will be sharing other projects using this same stamp set later this month so make sure you subscribe and keep checking back!

I love cards that can easily be adapted for many occasions and this card does just that! It makes a great birthday, thinking of you, get well, or any fun occasion. This is also a great card to use for a child, tween, or teen.

Don't forget, when you place an order use the current host code on the store checkout screen (which is VGGZHMRW  through 6/3/18). You can also check the home page for the current host code. All orders using this code will be entered into a drawing for a free gift. Yay! You get a chance to win free stuff!

Cheerful Pocketful of Sunshine Instructions

Cut card base out of blueberry bushel at 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4
Cut (2) Whisper White 5 1/4 X 4 --one of these panels will be for the inside of your card.
Cut Balmy Blue 1 3/4 X 4

Using a scrap piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock use the big shot to cut a 2 1/4 scalloped circle from the layering circles framelits. *If you do not have this framelit set you could use a 2 1/4 Circle or 2" circle punch (Items 143720 or Item 133782).

Next, take a the pineapple punch circle/scallop you just cut and some scrap balmy blue cardstock. Use your embossing buddy and wipe both of these cardstock pieces. Using Versamark ink stamp the 'smile' from the pocketful of sunshine stamp set on the pineapple punch circle, stamp the sunglasses on the balmy blue using versa mark. On the outside and inside whisper white panel use versamark to stamp the sentiment from the waterfront stamp set where you would like them.

Apply black embossing powder over all versamark images and sentiments and set with your heat tool.

Cut the sunglasses out with the corresponding piece from the pocket framelit. Adhere on top of the sun using mini dimensionals.

Emboss the Balmy Blue 1 3/4 X 4 strip using the Seaside folder and adhere to the bottom of the whisper white panel that will go on the front of your card. Using glue dots, attach the blueberry bushel ribbon to hide the top 'seam' of the balmy blue strip. Place the sunglass smiley face at the top left side of the whisper white panel making sure it does not cover up your sentiment.

Inside card Panel: I used the tree trunk in the Waterfront stamp set and inked it in saraha sand in the lower left whisper white panel. I stamped the palm leaves in granny apply green.

As you can see, this card has a number of steps but is quick and easy to make. If you don't have the heat tool or embossing powder that's ok! You can still make this card using black ink instead of the versamark and embossing powder.
