How to Make a Decorative Legal Pad Cover
Hello Inkredible Friends!
Wow, the holiday season is fast approaching! If you’re like me you have a lot of lists to keep track of, and of course we like pretty things! It’s the perfect time to share with you how to make a decorative legal pad cover. I saw a tutorial from another Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Jessica Taylor, that was done last year. I’ll link her video in this post too so that you can check it out.
This particular project is for the junior/small legal pads and comes complete with a pocket for receipts or other loose papers. If you wanted to leave the pocket off then this project would only require 1 piece of cardstock but the pocket doesn’t require much more and is a great addition.
I love the ‘All is Bright’ designer paper from Stampin’ Up! used in today’s project. There are several pieces in the pack that have a photo like quality to them. If that isn’t your style though there are plenty of other options! All papers are double-sided and there are some papers with a whimsical theme (like Christmas stockings or lights), and there are some with the typical red and green holiday colors.
Before we get started on today’s video I want to remind you of the current host code. If you are ordering through my online store use host code XG3UZEBN unless your order total is $150 or more. If your order totals $150 or more you will want to use the Stampin’ Rewards on your own order. ALL orders of $50 or more (as long as you allow Stampin’ Up! to share your contact information with me in the checkout process) will receive a special gift in the mail from me!
If you have any questions or need any help with your order let me know. You can use the ‘contact me’ form
Let’s dive into today’s video tutorial so you can teach your friends how to make a decorative legal pad cover too! They make great gifts and you could spend an afternoon with friends making a bunch of these as teacher gifts!

Paper Craft Decorative Legal Pad Cover Supply List & Instructions
Cutting Dimensions & Instructions:
Cardstock-Cherry Cobbler cut 8” X 11” & another piece 8” X 3 1/2”

You’ll need scrap Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White pieces for the sentiment and cut out with the corresponding ovals in the Stitched Shapes Framelits
The 8” X 11” piece of cardstock will be scored (the lighter blade on the Stampin’ Up! trimmer) at 5 1/16”, 5 5/16”, & 10 3/8” then fold at all score lines.
The 8” X 3 1/2” piece you will use 1” or 1 1/2” circle punch and place in the middle of the 8” side and punch about 3/4 of the way in (so you aren’t punching out a full circle). Once that is done attach tear and tape as the video show to attached the pocket.
*Note: You will obviously need to add Jr. Legal pads to your shopping list for this project too.
