Happy Birthday Gorgeous Slider Instructions:
Cut Calypso Coral card base 4 1/4 X 11 score at 5 1/2 and one strip 1 1/4 X 4 1/2
Cut Whisper White (2) 4 X 5 1/4-One will be for your inside panel the other the exterior
Cut your designer paper at 3 3/4 X 5 then using your 1 inch circle punch line the punch up to the edge of your paper and as deep as the punch will go and punch. Then, line up the punch on the other side with the same depth and punch. Take scissors and cut out the section between the two circle punches.
On the backside of your designer paper, lay the Calypso Coral strip across the cut out section covering the opening and carefully lay dimensional strip or foam tape across the top and bottom so that the strip can easily slide--you don't want it too tight against the strip but you don't want much space either because you want the slider to slide straight across with ease.
Attach dimensionals on the rest of the back of the designer paper panel and adhere it to the whisper white 4 X 5 1/4 panel.
I used a sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and with Calypso Coral ink I stamped on the right hand side of the slider window.
Next, take the Calypso Coral strip and insert it into the window and slide it to the point where it just barely covers the exposed whisper white panel behind it. Place a dimensional on the calypso strip right side just where you placed the strip to stop once all white was covered up.
On a scrap piece of whisper white stamp 'Happy Birthday' in calypso coral and cut out with the stitched circle framelit. Then cut out the scalloped circle in calypso coral and adhere the stitched circle to it and then place that on top of the dimensional you placed on the strip.
Slide the slider all the way in and trim any excess off the opposite end so that it is flush with the card base.
Punch a 1 inch circle out of DSP or glitter paper, fold it in half and glue it to the end of the slider. I then attached a Rhinestone to make it easier to grip and slide.
I then used the Tutti Frutti Adhesive backed sequins and attached them randomly to the lower portion of the designer paper.
The inside panel of my card I stamped my sentiment and one candle in calypso coral, the other candle in lemon-lime twist and the candle flame in daffodil delight.
