Fast Easy Birthday Card Using Scrapbook Paper
Did you know that you can make a fast easy birthday card using scrapbook paper and a little cardstock? Does it appeal to you even more that it can be made in about 5 minutes?!
Honestly, I got behind this week with hurricane preparedness tasks along with some other unexpected events so I needed a handmade birthday card idea that was quick and easy.
I think this 'Share What You Love' designer paper from Stampin' Up! makes the most beautiful handmade cards! The paer is a nice weight (heavier than most papers which also makes it perfect for your 3d paper crafting projects too!). Whether you need one or a dozen greeting cards you can create these quickly.
Here’s the step-by-step video tutorial: Fast Easy Birthday Card Using Scrapbook Paper
Stamp Set: Special Celebrations Item #143885 (photopolymer) & Item #143882 (Wood Mount)
Cardstock: Mint Macaron Item #138337 and Very Vanilla Item #101650
Ink: Jet Black Stazon Item #101406
Designer Paper: Share What You Love Item #146926
Framelits: Layering Circles Item #141705
Adhesive: Snail Item #104332
Misc.: Pearls Item #146927
Mint Macaron Card Base 5 1/2” X 8 1/2” scored at 4 1/4”
Very Vanilla layer cut 2 at 5 1/4” X 4”
Cut Designer paper 4” X 3”
Cut another ‘trim’ piece of Designer Paper (scrapbook paper) that coordinates 4” X 1/2”
You will also need scrap pieces of very vanilla and mint macaron for the sentiment
Stamp the sentiment onto the Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it out with the corresponding circle from the layering circles framelits and then cut the scalloped layer that fits behind the sentiment from the same framelit set. Adhere together.
Adhere the larger designer paper to the bottom of one of the very vanilla layers. Adhere the trim piece 4” X 1/2” above that. Next, place dimensionals on the back of the sentiment and attach to the front of your card where desired.
As a finishing touch, add the pearls to the sentiment and card panel where desired.
For the inside panel, stamp your greeting in Stazon and adhere to the card.
This is truly a great way to use those beautiful scrapbook papers or designer series papers and show them off. Change the sentiments for the occasion that fits your need!
I love hearing from you so let me know in the comments what is YOUR favorite paper calling you to make a card with this design?
Have a great, Inkredible week!
